Great advert for this division - Johnson

Lee Johnson believes tonight's clash with Derby County will be a decent spectacle for the worldwide television audience.

The second-versus-fifth encounter will be screened live on Sky Sports - one of ten televised fixtures the Robins have been selected for in 2017/18.

Earlier this season City ran out 4-1 winners at Ashton Gate against the Rams in an open footballing encounter.

And the City boss told BCTV of tonight's clash: "They’re a very good footballing side and it always presents a good game. We like to play in games like this.

"They have excellent players, as do we and it will be a good advert for the Championship - it’s one I am looking forward to.

"Gary Rowett has done an excellent job there and they find themselves on a good run at the moment.

"But we want to close the gap at the top and get back to winning ways ourselves. We're looking forward to it."

Bailey Wright is a doubt after requiring a knee scan, while Famara Diédhiou could make his long-awaited return from a knee injury.

The match is pay on the night for travelling fans, cash only payments.
