Shaun Goater and Joe Royle will be among the guests at City’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg tie in a fortnight’s time.
Legendary strikers Goater and Royle played for both City and Manchester City in their careers and will be in the hospitality areas on Tuesday, January 23rd (7.45pm kick-off) when the teams meet for the Ashton Gate leg.
Goater joined City from Rotherham United in 1996 and scored 45 in 81 appearances, pushing the club towards to promotion, albeit leaving for Man City in March 1998 before the runners-up spot was confirmed.
The Bermudan international went on be the Citizens’ top scorer for five straight seasons, playing in the Premier League and scoring 103 goals in 212 appearances.
Royle played over 100 games for the two sides, playing in Manchester first between 1974-77, before moving to BS3 and scoring four goals on his debut against Middlesbrough!
The pair will be joined in hospitality by three members of City’s 2014/15 double-winning team; Manchester City fan Aaron Wilbraham, along with Bolton club team-mate Mark Little, plus defender Derrick Williams.
