Getting to the Gate: Aston Villa

Heading to Ashton Gate this matchday? Here's all you need to know regarding Bristol's transport options.

Three matchday bus services will operate directly to and from Ashton Gate for the pre-season friendly versus Aston Villa (Saturday, July 31st, 1pm KO) and throughout the regular season – offering subsidised travel from as little as £1.80 per person.

The AG4 service will no longer operate and ABus have taken the decision not to continue with their matchday Service A. We’d like to thank ABus for their many years of service transporting fans to and from the stadium. First Bus will continue to operate their popular AG1 Portway Park & Ride and AG2 Brislington Park & Ride services which include free parking.

First Bus are also introducing a new service called AG3 which will operate from Temple Meads and the City Centre to Ashton Gate. This service is ideal for those arriving in Bristol at Temple Meads or Bristol Coach Station; parking in city-centre car parks; or wishing to use the public bus network - as the route has been designed to connect with as many services as possible.

Details for Saturday’s game are listed below with details of the regular-season services to be confirmed shortly. Please note - all services are now cashless. The cheapest way to travel is using a First Bus mTicket but card payments are accepted on the bus.
