Gate Guide: Leeds United

All you need to know ahead of City's Sky Bet Championship match with Leeds United at Ashton Gate (Saturday, March 9th, 3pm KO).

Here’s your easy guide for what to expect, if you’re heading to BS3.

ORDER OF EVENTS

10am - Bristol Sport Store open
10am - Matchday Ticket Office open (phone lines open from 10am)
11am - Sports Bar open
12pm - Fan Village open
1pm - Turnstiles open
2pm - Team announcements
2.45pm - Warm-up
3pm - Kick-off
3.45pm - Half-time
4pm - Second half begins
4.45pm - Full-time

STADIUM

The match on Saturday is sold out with the South Stand, Dolman Stand and Lansdown Stand all open for home supporters, including the Lansdown Upper tier and Family area.

The Atyeo Stand will host Leeds United fans.

The stadium has recently had secure phone chargers installed in the Sports Bar, Lansdown Stand, South Stand and Dolman Stand which are £1 for 30mins.

Stadium-wide free WIFI is also available.

TICKETS

The match is sold out, and the matchday ticket office - adjacent to the Atyeo statue - will be open from 10am until just after kick-off (for collections only).

PROGRAMMES

As well as the usual selling points, programmes - which work exclusively with the new, free to download Bristol City app and will be available for purchase in S2, S3 and D1 concessions. Price: £3.50.

BABY CHANGING FACILITIES

Changing units are now installed in the following areas:

  • West stand concourse disabled toilet next to W10/11
  • West stand concourse ladies toilet next to W10/11
  • West stand 2nd floor, Lansdown restaurant disabled toilet at the VIP1 end
  • West stand 3rd floor, disabled toilet at the VIP1 end
  • West stand upper tier disabled toilets on each end of concourse have one unit per toilet
  • Heineken lounge disabled toilet
  • South / west corner disabled toilet next to A8
  • Coffee shop
  • Disabled toilet by Dolman lounges

FAN VILLAGE

The Fan Village will be in operation from 12pm, with a raft of food and drink on offer, whilst the Sports Bar will open from 11am.

FOOD & DRINK 

Take a look at our new food and drink products throughout our concession stands in the concourse:

Dolman Stand

Curry is now available in the Dolman Stand, with both vegetarian and chicken options including rice available for today's game at just £5 (RRP £6.50).

South Stand

We have added a new concession called Feed the Goat, which is a Jamaican food outlet offering curried goat, nan’s stew and ital stew. Next door our Thatchers bar will have Cheddar Valley, a dry cider.

Across the Stadium, the usual food outlets will be open and offering a sausage roll and any hot drink for just £5, we have burgers available from the Bear & Robins as well a Pie and Mash offering, including a vegetarian pie of the month.

STORE

The Bristol Sport Store at Ashton Gate Stadium will be open from 10am.

HALF-TIME

SUPPORTERS CLUB & TRUST BAR

Access to the Supporters Club and Trust Bar is via the Sports Bar & Pizzeria. Go through the main bar and up the stairs at the far end. The bar is on your left at the top of the stairs.

TRAVEL

RUCKSACKS

Ashton Gate Stadium asks supporters not to bring large rucksacks on matchdays, following advice from the National Counter Terrorism Office and Avon and Somerset Police.

Fans will still be able to bring smaller handbags into the stadium, although these will be subject to the usual search process.

An Ashton Gate spokesman said: “The searching process will always be subject to change and whilst there is no specific threat to any Sports Ground, we must ensure that we remain vigilant and the message to spectators is to ‘Be Alert not Alarmed’.”
