Garita Joins Plymouth On Loan

Arnold Garita has joined Plymouth Argyle on loan until January.

The Cameroonian striker arrived at Ashton Gate at the start of the year from French side Chateauroux for £50,000.

After scoring goals for Bristol City’s development squad and enjoying a successful pre-season with the first team, Garita went on trial at Lee Johnson’s former club Oldham Athletic over the summer.

Having returned to BS3, the 21-year-old was handed his City debut in the EFL Cup first round victory at Wycombe Wanderers.

Head coach Johnson said: “We’ve been working individually with Arnie and he’s really shown improvement in his game. We feel he is now ready to go and fight for regular first-team football in League Two with Plymouth.”

Garita follows in the footsteps of Joe Bryan and Bobby Reid in being loaned to Home Park.

After a tricky start to the new campaign, last season’s Sky Bet League Two play-off finalists have won their last four matches in all competitions and will have their sights set on another promotion push.
