Frank Fielding believes City's future is bright, insisting the club is set up to go "all the way."
His belief in the squad was part of the reason he signed a new deal in November, tying him to the football club until 2019.
When asked about his ambitions for the club, ahead of the Friday night fixture with his former employers Derby County at Pride Park (7.45pm kick-off), he told BCTV: "All the way. I wouldn’t have stayed otherwise!
"We’re getting better every day. This squad is getting stronger and I believe we can improve as a team, as a squad and who knows where it can take us."
When asked if the squad could achieve promotion to the Premier League at the end of this season, he replied: "If I had a magic ball I would be a millionaire. I can’t predict things like that but we have a chance.
"We’re not talking about it [promotion] but we’re taking each game as it comes, Friday is the most important thing because it is the next game and the league will take care of itself."
Fielding, 29, has continued to be a regular between the sticks this season and is happy to pass on what he has learnt to the younger keepers in the City ranks.
Max O'Leary is one shot-stopper who has taken all the plaudits while on loan at Solihull Moors during the current campaign.
Encouraged by his younger teammates, Fielding said: "Max is getting better and better everyday. He works really hard and that’s the same for Jojo (Wollacott) and AJ (Alhaji Seasy).
"They’re getting stronger and stronger and you can see their game coming on. If I can help then I will in any way but all three are doing really well and going in the right direction."
