Fans cycling to the game against Reading on Good Friday can benefit from free minor repairs to their bike to ensure it’s roadworthy and running smoothly (April 19th, 12noon KO).
The Dr Bike scheme is operated by Bristol-based charity Life Cycle UK and will take place at the stadium cycle racks behind the South Stand turnstiles from 10.30am.
Qualified cycle mechanics will work before kick-off and throughout the game to work on as many bikes as possible on a first-come first-served basis so fans wishing to take advantage are encouraged to arrive early.
Each bike will receive up to 20 minutes of TLC with mechanics performing safety checks and carrying out essential repairs such as fixing breaks, mending punctures and tuning gears. The team will also give you a ‘prescription’ with details of any larger works which need to be taken to a local bike shop for full repairs.
Life Cycle UK help 4,660 people unlock the benefits of cycling each year. More information can be found here and for different cycle routes to Ashton Gate please click here.
Tickets remain on general sale for the visit of the Royals, with a 20,000-plus crowd already guaranteed.
The Matthew Bromley memorial basketball games will take place from 4pm on Saturday, May 28th at the SGS College Arena.
