Francois makes Australia Under-23s bow

Marlee Francois came off the bench to make his Olyroos debut in Marbella.

The 18-year-old featured against Republic of Ireland who secured the 2-1 win, despite Ramy Najjarine netting a stunning strike for the young Australians.

Francois is part of a two-week tour for the group who face further international friendlies against fellow Tokyo 2020 qualified nations Saudi Arabia (Group D) on June 5th, Romania (Group B) on June 8th, and Mexico (Group A) on June 12th.

The Olyroos’ final squad selection for Tokyo 2020 is due to be announced in late June, before the squad assembles in Japan for a training camp in early July.

City fans will be kept up to date on the progress of Francois and all other Robins players on international duty across the club's social media channels and website.
