Due to health concerns related to COVID-19 all Robins Foundation education courses are to be delivered remotely via digital platforms.
Commencing today (Friday, March 20th) all Bristol City Robins Foundation education hubs will be closed until further notice (for those studying at the Merchants Academy centre, please follow advice issued by the school).
All timetabled lessons as of Monday March 23rd will be delivered via digital platforms. Staff will do this in a variety of ways including online lectures, online quizzes, mock questions (for those who should have been sitting exams in the summer), as well as setting students’ independent tasks to complete at home.
Any tasks set will need to be completed within the time frames set by lecturers and will be monitored closely. It is crucial that students continue to digitally attend these lessons to ensure work is up to date and can be moderated at the end of the year. If they are not present in the online lesson, they will be marked as absent.
If students are ill and therefore unable to attend any lessons, a parent or carer must notify the student’s lecturer.
All students who don’t have access to a laptop or computer have been supplied one to enable them to take part in these lessons and complete their work. If there are any issues with this, please contact a lecturer as soon as possible.
If any students require additional assistance or support during this period, we will be providing online sessions to ensure that all of the needs of our students are properly met.
The Robins Foundation have also made the decision to honour the offers made to all students who have already applied to study with the Foundation in September, regardless of the outcome surrounding exams. If it is not possible for any reason to place a student on their first-choice course an alternative within the Foundation will be provided.
Any students who wish to apply study with the Foundation next year may do so by clicking here.
Emails have already been circulated to all parents and carers of both prospective and current students detailing the information provided above. If you have any questions, please contact: education@bcfc.co.uk or call: 0117 963 0636.
Despite being reduced to 12 men in the closing stages of the match, England U20 held on to beat France 29-20 in round two of the Six Nations Summer Series.
