Aden Flint is aiming to put Preston North End to bed once and for all tonight (7.45pm).
Since the centre half’s arrival at Ashton Gate, he has faced Preston five times – the Lilywhites have won twice, with the other three games ending in 1-1 draws.
“We’ve been unlucky with our last couple of results against Preston so hopefully we can get one over them this time around,” said Flint on Bristol City Player HD.
“We’ve had three close games with them recently and that does play on your mind. We need to use that as a spur for tonight’s game.
“The last two times we’ve been to Deepdale it has ended 1-1 but we’ve dominated both games. Their goalkeeper has had a worldy night both times and pulled off some incredible saves.
He added: “We need to be beating the teams in and around us in the table.
“We know all about them and they know all about us. We know Greg (Cunningham) and Callum (Robinson) are coming back – it will be nice to see them. However, the cuddles are for after the game, we want to win.
“We should take heart from our performance against West Brom and take that into the game as we look to kick on.”
Tickets will be available on the night for this fixture, which can be purchased from the Matchday Ticket Office on Ashton Road.
