Flint Keen To Maintain Focus

Aden Flint feels Bristol City need to maintain focus in order to confirm their Sky Bet Championship status.

The defender was the match-winner on Saturday as Lee Johnson’s side came from behind to defeat Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. 

City are eight points clear of the drop zone and Flint insists the squad will continue to work hard to keep it that way. 

“It’s always nice to get an away win and three in a row is even better,” he told Bristol City Player HD

“We’ve got a nice healthy gap between us and the bottom three, which is a bonus, and we can start looking up the table now. 

“We’ll keep our feet on the ground, keep building and keep trying to improve in future games.” 

Flint’s goal from another Luke Freeman corner was his fifth of the campaign and his third in the Johnson era. 

The Nottinghamshire-born man was delighted to score against his hometown club, in front of many friends and family. 

He said: “I had 12 people in the away end, my mum and dad were in a box in the Trent End - I had friends and family all over the stadium. 

“I’m delighted we got the three points and even happier to get a goal.”
