Aden Flint is expecting an enjoyable encounter tomorrow when City face Middlesbrough at the Riverside (3pm).
City got their first point of the season against Leeds United on Wednesday night, while Boro are unbeaten in their opening three matches.
The defender is yet to face the North East club during his career, but anticipates a thrilling contest.
“I think it’ll be an entertaining game,” he told Bristol City Player HD.
“It’s a big pitch and stadium, something we’re going to enjoy.
“Middlesbrough were in the play-offs last year but we can’t go up there and be scared of them – we have to go and play our game.
“It’s going to be a good game for us.”
Flint grabbed his first goal of the season to complete a remarkable turnaround against Leeds.
Leeds were 2-0 up when Kieran Agard scored a minute before the end to set up a grandstand finish. Flint then bundled home in the fifth minute of injury time, proving the fight within the City squad.
“I said to myself ‘come on, I’m going to score here,’ and it’s gone in,” he said.
“The keeper dropped it and I’ve just given it a little back heel!
“We’ve shown a lot of character to come from 2-0 down to nick a draw and if we had five more minutes on the clock I think we might have won it.
“It’s just little lapses of concentration that are killing us at the minute. I think we’ve created enough chances to win the game and we just need to tighten up in odd areas when we’re defending.”
