Nigel Pearson will not travel to the Coventry Building Society Arena on Saturday due to feeling unwell.
Assistant Manager Curtis Fleming will take charge of the team against the Sky Blues.
City Chief Executive Officer Richard Gould said: “I’m sure everyone at the club and our supporters hope that Nigel has a speedy recovery.
“In the meantime, Curtis will take charge for this weekend’s fixture in Coventry. Nigel will remain in contact with Curtis and the coaching staff and we wish him and the team all the best tomorrow.”
