Dave Rennie reveals how the City players are getting fitter, faster and stronger to power them through an attritional Championship season.
The Head of Medical Performance gives an insight into a testing and training programme designed to play a high-intensity and pressing game demanded by Manager Nigel Pearson.
Including graphs showing improvements in the ability to ‘brake quickly’ when pressing opponents, hamstring strength and leg power, Rennie explains the science that the players are embracing.
"One of the big things is accountability of players, providing them with opportunities to express and develop themselves as individuals, to learn more about themselves using their own data. We are very transparent so they can see each other's data and compare," said Rennie.
