Frank Fielding has put pen to paper on a new contract until the summer of 2019.
The 29-year-old goalkeeper completed the formalities of his deal at Ashton Gate today, with the agreement also including a further year option.
Head coach Lee Johnson told bcfc.co.uk: “We’re delighted with how Frankie has been performing and this new deal is a reward for all of his hard work.
“Frankie always demonstrates a great attitude and we’re pleased he has now agreed a new deal to secure his long-term future with the club.”
Fielding joined City in 2013 from Derby County and has gone on to make 150 appearances for the club.
He was part of the club’s double-winning team in 2014/15, landing the League One title and Johnstone’s Paint Trophy at Wembley, as well as being named in the PFA Team of the Year.
Off the pitch he has been a long-term ambassador for Children’s Hospice South West at Charlton Farm, just a short trip from the club’s Failand training ground.
