Fielding banking on Gate roar

Frank Fielding can’t wait to enjoy home comforts once more tomorrow.

After two tough games on the road at Birmingham City and Brentford, Fielding and his team-mates host Millwall at Ashton Gate tomorrow (3pm).

The City number one is banking on the vociferous home support to spur the team on to another fast start.

“This is our patch and I always enjoy playing here,” Fielding told BCTV.

“I enjoyed it last year, but now with the singing section in the corner screaming and shouting, it makes a huge difference.

“We need the crowd and they’re always good here at Ashton Gate. Sometimes they can suck the ball into the net for us!”

IT WILL BE TOUGH

Millwall won the League One play-offs last season and are now trying to adapt to life in the Sky Bet Championship.

To date they’ve managed to secure just one point from a possible nine, but Fielding insists that won’t make it any easier for City tomorrow.

“All games are tough in this division, we’ve seen that over the years,” he added.

“We’ve prepared right in training for the game and we’re looking forward to it.”
