City Women are delighted to confirm that forward Olivia Fergusson has signed a contract extension.
Fergusson, 22, joined the club in 2016 from Aston Villa Ladies where she came through the Centre of Excellence and broke into the first team.
The winger featured heavily during the Spring Series, with her pace and work rate creating many chances for the Vixens throughout the tournament.
With her new deal secured, Fergusson says she is delighted to be staying with the club.
“I am delighted to be staying with Bristol City Women as the club returns to WSL 1," declared Ferguson. "It is a hugely exciting time for the club and I feel as though I am thriving in this environment, I want to develop my football and I feel this is the best place for me to do that.
“The Spring Series was just a taste of the level we can expect this season and I am excited to test myself against the best players in England once again when the season starts in September.”
City Women manager Willie Kirk added: “Olivia’s pace, directness, work rate, enthusiasm and service into the box are attributes that I really admire in her game. She compliments the way we play and she is exactly the type of player I want at the club so I am delighted she is staying.
“She made a huge commitment to us when she first joined, commuting between Bristol and the Midlands to train and play, and this dedication shows what type of person she is and that is exactly the type of character I want around the place.”
