Lauren Smith believes Sunday’s fixture against Blackburn Rovers (3pm) will be a ‘fantastic occasion’ with 3,000 supporters expected to be in the stands at Ashton Gate.
City Women will run out at Ashton Gate in front of fans for the first time in 20 months with the Robins taking on the Rovers as part of Women’s Football Weekend.
Smith is seeking a performance in which the Robins showcase their capabilities in the final third and a ‘go get it’ attitude from minute one.
Speaking to Robins TV, Smith said: “A game at Ashton Gate on Women’s Football Weekend is definitely something to be celebrated.”
“A few of the group will have already played there but it’ll be a new experience for most of them and to have fans there will be a different experience altogether, so we can’t wait to get out there now.”
Supporters are encouraged take advantage of online pricing for Sunday’s fixture in BS3, however there will be pay on the day tickets available.
There will be a whole host of activities taking place in the Lansdown Concourse, which you can read about in this week’s Gate Guide.
Travel and parking information for supporters attending can be found here.
