DONCASTER
Donny have struggled for a consistent run of form this season in League One, hence their place in midtable at present. They are unbeaten in their last five, however, most recently a 2-2 draw at Oldham on Saturday having trailed 2-0 until the closing stages.
MANAGER
Paul Dickov – Former striker whose career spanned over 21 years, including stints at Arsenal, Manchester City and Leicester City. The 41-year-old’s managerial career began in June 2010 when he became player-manager of Oldham Athletic replacing Dave Penney. In his third season in charge he completed a memorable 3-2 FA Cup victory over Liverpool but resigned just a week later due to the side’s poor league form. In May 2013 Dickov returned to management with Doncaster Rovers who had just been promoted to the Championship. Rovers suffered a 1-0 defeat at Leicester City on the final day, and with Birmingham City grabbing a last-minute equaliser at Bolton Wanderers, Dickov’s side were relegated back to the third tier.
STAR MAN
Harry Forrester – Attacking midfielder who progressed through the ranks at Aston Villa. After struggling to break into the first team at Villa Park, the 23-year-old went on trial at Ajax but rejected a move to the Dutch side to move to Brentford. He opted to leave West London at the end of his two-year contract to join newly-promoted Doncaster but a number of injuries restricted him to just nine appearances. Forrester started this season well, scoring in Rovers' opening two games against Yeovil Town and York City (Capital One Cup) but received a straight red card in his next game after a rash challenge on Port Vale’s Sam Johnson.
OFFICIALS
Darren Bond will be the man in the middle, assisted by William Bull and Adam Bromley. The fourth official will be Brendan Malone.
