Claire Emslie has left City Women to join Manchester City Women for the forthcoming WSL 1 season.
Emslie, 23, joined the Vixens in June 2016 from Florida Atlantic University.
Manager Willie Kirk admits he is disappointed to lose one of his key players, but is delighted for the Scottish forward on a personal level.
“We never want to lose our best players, but having known and worked with Claire for so long I’m delighted for her,” Kirk said
“Her move shows every current and future Bristol City Women player, if they work hard day in and day out like Claire has, then this club can give you the platform for a move to a top three club.
"Everyone at the club would like to wish Claire the best for the future.”
