Eliasson starts at Hillsborough

Niclas Eliasson will start at Hillsborough where City take on Sheffield Wednesday on Easter Monday.

He is the only change from Good Friday’s draw with Reading, where the Sweden winger produced a top-class cross to assist Josh Brownhilll's equalising goal. Eliasson replaces the injured Korey Smith this afternoon.

City will again line up with Hunt and Dasilva as wing-backs to support the attack and defence as required.

Speaking about today's team news, head coach Lee Johnson said: "We’ve had three-four days of recovery so I feel I can put the boys out as if it was a Saturday-Tuesday. We have a fit bunch anyway and Niclas comes in.

"His delivery is proven. His assists have been chalked off maybe because he's had a little niggle along the way but in terms of set-piece delivery and work rate, he’s a really promising footballer.

"After we signed him it took him time to adjust to the tempo, speed and contact but he’s improving every day…he has all the hallmarks to be a top-level wide player."

On Smith missing out, Johnson said the midfielder remains in "good spirits" as he awaits further treatment.

He added: "His foot is still extremely swollen, so swollen that he couldn’t put weight on it for the x-ray. Over Easter it has been difficult to get the experts to assess the scans but we will try and do that tomorrow and push to get the x-ray and ultrasound scan."

Today's match kicks off at 3pm.

City: O’Leary, Hunt, Webster, Wright, Kalas, Dasilva, Brownhill, Pack, Weimann, Eliasson, Diédhiou. Subs: Marinovic, Kelly, Baker, Walsh, Palmer, Semenyo, Taylor.

Sheffield Wednesday: Dawson, Pelupessy, Bannan, Hooper, Lees, Joao, Reach, Boyd, Orifa, Hector, Lazaar. Subs: Wildsmith, Fox, Onomah, Winnall, Nuhiu, Matias, Forestieri.
