Joel Ekstrand has suffered a slight setback after picking up a knee injury.
The defender has only featured twice for City since joining the club in September on a year’s contract.
Ekstrand has only just recovered from a period on the sidelines due to illness.
However, head coach Lee Johnson revealed Ekstrand was unavailable for Saturday’s clash with Ipswich Town, which ended in a 2-0 win, after suffering an injury in training.
Meanwhile, Arnold Garita has returned to Ashton Gate for treatment on a knee injury.
The Cameroonian forward has played six times for loan club Plymouth Argyle so far this season, scoring once.
