Football fans take on the challenge of visiting 44 grounds in 44 hours to raise money for mental health charity ‘Mind’.
Matt Clewes and friend Chris Milligan have undertaken the challenge of visiting every Sky Bet Championship and Barclays Premier League stadium over the bank holiday weekend.
The duo set off from Southampton’s St Mary’s Stadium in the early hours of Saturday morning and will attempt to visit all 44 grounds by early Monday morning.
The pair of avid football fans have both suffered with mental health issues previously and are undertaking the challenge to not only raise money for mental health charity Mind, but also raise awareness about the challenges caused by mental health.
Matt commented, “Mind is a great charity who do amazing things and with everything we have gone through over the past few months, mental health is more important than ever.
“It’s really great to be in Bristol. It has been a long couple of days, but we are on the home straight now with just a couple more grounds left to visit.”
The two arrived at Ashton Gate Stadium at around 11pm on Sunday evening.
