Lee Johnson believes it would be dangerous to look too much into Huddersfield Town’s recent slump in results.
The Terriers were the division’s early frontrunners, winning seven of their opening ten matches, including a 2-1 win at Sky Bet Championship favourites Newcastle United.
However, Huddersfield’s recent run of one win in eight matches has seen them slip out of the play-off places, ahead of their meeting with City at the John Smith’s Stadium tomorrow (3pm).
City head coach Johnson told Bristol City Player HD: “Looking at their performance at Blackburn Rovers last week (a 1-1 draw), they certainly deserved to win that game.
“I think their recent results haven’t told the full story and I still feel they’ll go into tomorrow’s game with confidence, on the back of that Blackburn performance.
“They’ve got a lot of power up the pitch and have made some solid defensive acquisitions at the other end of the park.
“They’re a good side, who have a very fluid and efficient style. I actually think, in terms of development, both teams are very evenly matched in where they currently are.
“We know that we can go above them with a win and that has to be our target.”
Johnson will be hoping Gary O’Neil can overcome a toenail problem to take his place in the squad.
The match is pay on the day (cash only) for City fans.
