Dominant performances give us confidence - Webster

Defender Adam Webster says City will take confidence from their recent displays into their clash with Middlesbrough tomorrow (August 18th, 3pm).

The centre-back has played all 180 minutes of City’s 2018/19 Championship campaign so far, from which City have picked up two points but have been unlucky not to have secured all six.

Webster says City have been working hard behind the scenes to give themselves the best chance of securing a first win of the season against Boro on Saturday.

He told bcfc.co.uk: “We’d have liked to have more points on the board, we’ve dominated every game we’ve played so far, our performances have been good so we can take confidence from that and hopefully the wins will come.

“Middlesbrough will be tough, they have started the season well. We know exactly what to expect, there’s a lot of quality there and they have a physical threat but we have to stand up to that and do our thing.

“We’re taking a lot of confidence into Saturday’s game because our performances have been good, it’s just small margins which we have to improve on and the boys are working hard on the training pitch to put that right.”

Webster also discussed how easy he has adjusted to life at his new club, after switching Ipswich Town for BS3 in the summer.

“I’m settling in really well,” he said.

“Ever since I arrived, the boys and staff have been brilliant with me and it’s been really easy to settle in.”

Tickets for tomorrow’s Sky Bet Championship fixture with Tony Pulis’ Middlesbrough remain on general sale.
