Djuric Set For Injury Layoff

Milan Djuric is set for a prolonged spell on the sidelines after a recurrence of a hernia problem.

The big striker missed City’s 1-0 win at Wigan Athletic on Saturday because of the injury, which may even require surgery.

Djuric, a Bosnian international, looks likely to miss at least three weeks of the run-in.

Head coach Lee Johnson told bcfc.co.uk: "He might need a minor operation to fix the problem and, if that happens, it could speed things up a bit.

"I'm told the recovery period for that is anything between ten days and a month. The alternative is three to four weeks of complete rest.

"Either way, he is going to be missing for the best part of a month, which is disappointing for everyone. It's a recurrence of an injury he had before and there is no way he can play through it."
