Goalscorer Callum O’Dowda says the team must move on quickly from their defeat against Norwich City.
O’Dowda gave City a 2-1 lead in the first half, as he capped off a mazy solo run with a well-struck finish.
But Norwich battled back after the break to win 3-2 at Carrow Road, to inflict City’s first defeat since November.
“Overall, it was disappointing I thought,” O’Dowda said.
“We stared really well, they got the goal back, I scored straight after and it was all good at half-time
“After that we struggled to defend for a period. They’re a good team with the momentum and that atmosphere was good. Not that it was intimidating but you can see why they are doing so well. The fans were right behind them and it was just disappointing.”
The Republic of Ireland winger felt City could have done things differently on the day but it is those lessons they will look to learn before they host Birmingham City on Tuesday night (February 26th, 7.45pm KO)..
“I think we needed to relax, regroup and maybe not try things,” he continued.
“At 2-2 teams would look to hold on to what they have but we still try to play. We’re a good team and those things happened.
“Like the gaffer has said we all have to move on. We can learn from this and our full focus in on Birmingham City on Tuesday.”
