Dasilva’s message to the fans

Jay Dasilva is as encouraged as ever knowing City will be backed by a sold-out away end when they travel to The Hawthorns this weekend.

City face West Bromwich Albion on Saturday (October 23rd, 3pm) and the left-back believes that huge support will be crucial.

City have enjoyed some big wins on the road this season and while it’s another tough fixture coming up against a side unbeaten on home soil in the Championship, Dasilva expects to see a big response when the first whistle blows.

Talking about City’s away form, Dasilva told Robins TV: “There’s nothing I can put my finger on but going into an away game with the form we’ve been in away from home and the massive support that we get does give us confidence.

“[It’s about] sticking to what we do and finding it within ourselves to get that win at home, that will change a lot of things.”

Tuesday night at home saw City conceded twice in the dying embers of the game as Nottingham Forest stole a 2-1 win. It was a frustrating evening for all involved but Dasilva’s message remains simple: “Stay with us, once again we need your support home and away. This is a big one so stay together, stay with us, be that twelfth man for us and we really appreciate all that support,” he said.

“Tuesday night was painful, to lose the game like that we were very frustrated, very hurt. The good thing about football is the turnaround is very quick and we’ve got to focus on the next game coming up, so it’s been positive and the boys are willing to show a big response.

“It’s important to address the problems from the game and move on very quickly to focus on the next one. We try to stay as positive as possible, that’s the main thing and keep the mood high in the camp, focus on the next task.”

City’s trip to face West Brom has sold out to away supporter meaning there are no further tickets available. Anyone without a ticket is advised no to travel.

The Robins TV live video stream will be available to overseas supporters only, due to EFL regulations. A live audio stream will also available for supporters inside the UK, Ireland and Channel Islands.
