Bristol City Women striker Yana Daniels says she is settling in well at the club, after arriving from Anderlecht two weeks ago.
Prior to arriving, the 25 year old played every game for Belgium in their UEFA Women’s Euro campaign.
On her first interview at the club, she said: “I really like everyone in the squad, they have been welcoming. The training regime has been intense, but I am enjoying it.
“It seems that the style of play here is more based on the physical side of the game, while in Belgium it is more tactical. It’s going to be different for me, but I really like the way they play here so I’m excited to be involved.
“Playing at Euro 2017 was awesome, every game that I played was a dream come true and the support was fantastic.”
City Women begin their season against Chelsea on Sunday, September 23rd and the Redflames striker is excited to play in WSL 1, after watching games online last season.
“I’ve always been a fan of the league, you can watch the games online and it is now slightly surreal that I am actually here now.
“I came to the Chelsea game in the Spring Series and the fans were fantastic. I am really looking forward to playing against them in our first home game against Yeovil on Saturday, 30th September.”
