Bristol City’s on-loan striker Simon Cox has been called up by Republic of Ireland for their crucial Euro 2016 qualifying play-off games against Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Ireland require victory over two legs – Friday, November 13th in Zenica; Monday, November, 16th in Dublin – to reach next summer’s tournament in France.
Reading’s Cox, who made his loan debut for City as a substitute against Brighton & Hove Albion on October 20th, is one of eight strikers named.
His last of 30 caps for Ireland was on June 11th 2014 against World Cup-bound Portugal.
