Cotterill In For Second City Debut

Lee Johnson hands a debut to one of his two deadline day signings as City host Rotherham United in a crunch clash at Ashton Gate (3pm).

David Cotterill is in for Callum O’Dowda, but Matty Taylor has to be content with a place on the bench.

Marlon Pack makes his first start since the Severnside derby against Cardiff City three weeks ago, replacing Josh Brownhill in Johnson’s only other change.

Former City keeper Richard O’Donnell starts in goal for the visitors.

Bristol City: Giefer, Little, Flint, Wright, Golbourne, Hegeler, Pack, Cotterill, Tomlin, Bryan, Abraham. Subs: Fielding, Vyner, Brownhill, O’Dowda, Paterson, Djuric, Taylor.

Rotherham United: O’Donnell, Kelly, Ajayi, Wood, Purrington, Smallwood, Forde, Vaulks, Newell, Mattock, Ward. Subs: Bilboe, Warren, Allan, Bray, Taylor, Yates, Blackstock.
