‘Confident City showing desire and hunger’ – Dasilva

City have proven that it doesn’t matter when you score, with the winning strikes coming late on in their previous two fixtures.

For Jay Dasilva, the fact that City have won those matches in this fashion shows the squad’s “desire and hunger”.

The loanee from Chelsea came on as a substitute away to Brentford, assisting Niclas Eliasson’s 89th-minute goal, before helping City to their sixth clean sheet in Wednesday's 1-0 win at home to Hull City.

Next up for the Robins are Stoke City at Ashton Gate tomorrow afternoon (October 27th, 3pm).

“Our two late winners have been good for us. It shows our desire and hunger to keep going to the end,” Dasilva said.

“The fans, especially at Ashton Gate, are massive for us. They get behind us, they keep our confidence going to the end which is a massive thing.”

He added: “As a defender I’ve enjoyed the clean sheets we have picked up in the last two games. It’s been a big boost for us, it’s always great to get a clean sheet and a win so we’re building on that. We’re looking to keep that run going.”

Newly relegated Stoke City head south to BS3 under the new management of Gary Rowett. It’s their first trip to the Gate since last season’s Carabao Cup tie, which the Robins won 2-0.

“We know Stoke will be a tough game,” Dasilva continued. “Coming down from the Premier League they have good players but we’re high in confidence off the back of two good wins. We’re back at the Gate too so it should be good.”
