Club legends reunite for Bristol City Memories book launch

Ashton Gate will be staging an evening of unbridled nostalgia on Friday night (October 15th) as some of the greatest players ever to represent Bristol City are reunited.

The official launch of Richard Latham's book 'Bristol City Memories', postponed three times due to Covid-19 restrictions, is to be held in the Sports Bar, starting at 7.30pm.

Among the players interviewed for the book who have accepted invitations to attend are Louis Carey, Paul Cheesley, Jantzen Derrick, Rob Edwards, Mike Gibson, Chris Honor, Geoff Merrick, Gary Owers, Scott Murray, Gordon Parr, Tom Ritchie, Gerry Sweeney, Trevor Tainton, Brian Tinnion, Alan Walsh and Clive Whitehead.

Also present will be former City Manager Alan Dicks and Club President Marina Dolman.

The event is free of charge for supporters, whether or not they purchase a book. Those who have already done so can bring their copies along to be signed.

Bristol City Memories is a compilation of 27 interviews with former players and club icons such as Steve Lansdown and Buster Footman, offering personal recollections spanning six decades.

It is priced at £20 and available from the City Shop at Ashton Gate, Waterstones, Amazon and at www.bristolcitymemories.co.uk
