Bristol City fans are planning to turn one end of Stadium:MK into a sea of red and white scarves this Saturday (3pm kick-off).
Twelve thousand free scarves were handed out to supporters ahead of the recent FA Cup clash with West Ham United, and with fans waving them above their heads it made for a real spectacle.
The scarves have been evident in the crowd for the following home games with Gillingham and Fleetwood Town, but now they could be going on the road for the first time.
Fans have been rallying their fellow troops to take their red and white bar scarves to Stadium:MK, where an away crowd of more than 4,000 is already guaranteed.
Supporter Rob Jones wrote to bcfc.co.uk to say: “Several people have started spreading the word on social media.
“We are trying to get a campaign together to get everyone to take their red and white scarves, banners and flags to MK Dons on Saturday.
“With such a big following going, this would look great and give the team a very colourful backing and hopefully create a great atmosphere for this massive game.”
Fan Tim Dicks said: “Let’s make this an amazing atmosphere, full of colour and passion!”
City currently lead the Sky Bet League One table, two points ahead of MK Dons and with a game in hand on their weekend hosts.
Tickets remain on sale for Saturday’s top-of-the-table encounter by calling 0117 963 0600, online or in person from the Bristol Sport Megastore.
