Bristol City's Wes Burns has joined Sky Bet League One club Fleetwood Town on a youth loan.
The Wales Under-21 international has made 17 appearances so far this season, scoring once – the late winner against Middlesbrough last month.
However, all but three of Burns’ appearances have come from the substitutes bench, and this loan move to League One will allow the 21-year-old to gain regular match action.
Head coach Lee Johnson said: “It will be great for Wes to go and get regular League One games for a good club that play football the right way.
“I’m keen to get our homegrown players as much exposure to league football as possible, both in our first team and by utilising the loan system.”
Burns has previously spent time on loan at Forest Green Rovers, Oxford United and Cheltenham Town.
The youth loan runs until May 8th, with City having a recall option after 28 days.
