Bristol City Women’s Development Squad began their Development FA Cup title defence with a narrow 1-0 loss to Chelsea Ladies at Kingsmeadow.
The young side pushed the Blues all the way, but just fell short in their efforts.
Many neutrals on the day complimented the young Vixens, for their ambition and the brand of football on show.
Up next, the Development Squad face Tottenham Hotspur at the Stoke Gifford Stadium this Sunday (2pm kick-off).
The game is free entry for all spectators.
