Bristol City…at the World Cup. Well sort of.
Five former players are currently representing the Three Lions internationally this summer in the Senior World Cup, taking place in Thailand.
Steve Phillips, Alex Russell, Rob Edwards, Louis Carey and Lee Trundle are all part of the English squad which has thrashed USA 7-0 and overcome New Zealand 2-1, with both goals coming from ex-Rovers forward Jamie Cureton.
The elderly Three Lions have now qualified for the next stage of the competition, where they will face the Auld Enemy, Scotland.
Senior World Cup rules dictate that at any one time, a team must have three players aged between 38 and 43, four players between 44 and 50, and three players over 50 on the pitch.
Harry Randall has been named in Eddie Jones' 28-man England squad for the upcoming Six Nations campaign, joining Ben Earl and Max Malins.
