Korey Smith and Scott Wagstaff will be assessed ahead of Saturday’s home clash with MK Dons (3pm kick-off).
The midfielders are struggling with groin and calf injuries respectively, and will be checked out by the club’s medical team before the meeting with last season’s League One runners-up.
Manager Steve Cotterill told Bristol City Player HD: “We don’t know about Korey and Waggy yet, we’ll have to wait and see how they both are.
“It will be late decisions for both of them.”
Liam Moore is certainly out, having undergone a double hernia operation.
“He’s been struggling for a little while,” added Cotterill. “He’s gone back to Leicester and it turns out he needed surgery. We probably won’t see him for a couple of weeks.”
Meanwhile, Ben Hamer trained at Failand today, having shaken off recent headaches which required checking out by the medical staff of his parent club Leicester.
City host MK Dons on Saturday and tickets are now on general sale. Call 0117 963 0600 to book, or secure your seat online here.
