City are waiting on the fitness of Hordur Magnusson and Callum O’Dowda ahead of Saturday’s showdown with Millwall (3pm kick-off).
Magnusson is still nursing a knee injury and will be assessed on Friday, while O’Dowda had an injection earlier this week and is awaiting the results of a scan.
Head coach Lee Johnson explained to BCTV: “Hordur might not be available.
“We’re going to try him out on Friday before we travel but that will be his first training day, so in terms of preparation for the game, we wouldn’t be able to do much with him.
“Callum saw a specialist on Tuesday and had a follow-up scan today (Wednesday). He had a slight impingement from when he came back, which happens sometimes.
“Since having an injection earlier this week he’s felt good. He’s looked good on the training pitch and certainly athletically there’s no problem with Callum. It would be a boost to have him back but how quickly that comes, we’ll find out from the scan results.”
Johnson added there were “a couple of niggles” in the squad following the busy Easter period.
He continued: “We’ve got a big squad and we want the boys who have been so cohesive throughout the season to get back to their full 100 per cent belief and confidence.”
Season Tickets for the 2022/23 campaign are selling at a record pace, with more than 9,000 supporters already committed.
