Joe Bryan and Milan Djuric are both rated “50/50” for tomorrow night’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Preston North End (7.45pm).
Bryan hobbled out of Saturday’s goalless draw at Sheffield Wednesday with a groin problem, but City hope it will settle down in time for the Bristolian to face the Lilywhites.
Djuric also has an issue with one side of his groin, following surgery on the other groin early this season.
Head coach Lee Johnson said on Saturday that City would need to manage the big Bosnian international’s workload to ensure he doesn’t make the issue any worse.
Meanwhile, Bailey Wright is available again after completing a two-match suspension.
“It’s great to have Bailey back,” said Jamie McAllister at the pre-match press conference.
“He’s our captain and our leader; he’s also full of confidence after helping Australia qualify for the World Cup.
“The gaffer has got a few selection decisions to make and that just shows the strength and depth we’ve got in the squad.”
Tickets remain on general sale for the Sky Bet Championship encounter; call Supporter Services on 0117 963 0600 or book online.
