City host Manchester United in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday night (December 20th) - here's a handy travel guide for fans.

With the largest home attendance for 37 years coinciding with a busy evening for Christmas shoppers, the road network across Bristol will be extremely busy and car parking at a premium.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND JOURNEY PLANNING

•    Fans can plan their best route using the Travel West journey planner www.travelwest.info/jp
•    Ashton Road and Marsh Road will be closed from 5:30pm in the interest of crowd safety
•    We strongly advise fans to leave plenty of time for their journey TO the stadium and arrive early AT the stadium where there will be busy turnstiles and enhanced security checks
•    The Sports Bar will open at 3pm
•    The Fan Village will open at 4pm -  music, entertainment, activities, food and drink (including a mulled wine and cider bar)
•    Turnstiles open at 6pm – free gaming zone pre-match in the Lansdown Stand lower concourse, plus double-discount in concourse kiosks between 6-7pm

TRAIN

•    Parson Street station is a 20-minute walk and serves much of Somerset, South Wales and Bristol
•    Bristol Temple Meads is the nearest mainline station, a 40-minute walk and connected to Ashton Gate by the ABus service (details below)
•    Proposed engineering works have been pushed back and extra services provided for an improved service
•    www.gwr.com has been updated with the latest information and includes a journey planner to help you plan your route

AG1 from/to Portway Park & Ride
•    Collects along the Portway
•    Times, stops and fares are shown here
•    The service is operated by First Bus and the total journey time is usually around 15 minutes

AG2 from/to Brislington Park & Ride
•    Runs directly to the stadium
•    Times and fares are shown at here
•    The service is operated by First Bus and the total journey time is usually around 20 minutes

AG4 from/to South Bristol
•    Serves much of south Bristol including Whitchurch, Hengrove, Bishopsworth and Bedminster Down
•    Times, stops and fares are shown at here
•    The service is operated by First Bus and the total journey time is usually around 30 minutes

Abus from/to Brislington and Bristol Temple Meads
•    Serves Totterdown, Temple Meads, Haymarket, the Centre and Hotwells
•    Details and stops are listed here
•    Buses will depart Brislington, Eagle Road at 1830, 1845 and 1900
•    Single £2 / Return £3 (season card holders return = £2). English concessionary card holders travel free. Return buses operate from outside the Trust Ford dealership on Winterstoke Rd
•    The service is operated by Abus and the total journey time is usually around 30 minutes
NB - In the event of extra-time or penalties the return journey times of all dedicated bus services will be adjusted accordingly.

WALK

•    Fans are likely to find walking is the quickest and easiest way to/from the stadium
•    Most of south, west and central Bristol are within an hour’s walk
•    East Street, St John’s Lane, Clifton Village and the city centre all accessible in under 30 minutes

CYCLE

•    There are 96 cycle parking spaces outside the South Stand along with a free bike pump
•    The stadium is served by numerous cycle paths – always consider your safety especially when cycling in the dark

OFFICIAL CAR PARKS

•    Onsite – car parks are sold out
•    Offsite – a limited number of spaces remain available close to the stadium. Please call Supporter Services on 0117 9630 600 (option 1), Monday – Friday 9am-5pm to book your place
•    Disabled – a limited number of spaces remain available in the off-site car parks (see above). A wheelchair drop-off area is available in the South Stand car park.
