City unchanged for Rovers clash

Consistency is key as Lee Johnson makes no changes to his starting XI this afternoon.

The same players will take to the field as those who kicked off last weekend's 2-0 home win against Swansea City.

It means Tomas Kalas partners Adam Webster with Jay Dasilva and Bailey Wright retaining their positions at full-back, in front of Frank Fielding's goal.

Marlon Pack and Josh Brownhill sit in the middle with Callum O'Dowda and Andreas Weimann making use of the wings, while Jamie Paterson supports the midfield and attack behind Famara Diédhiou.

Johnson's side are looking to secure their sixth consecutive win in the league - eight in all competitions - and stretch the unbeaten run to 14 matches in their first trip to Ewood Park since April 2017.

City: Fielding, Wright (C), Kalas, Webster, Dasilva, Pack, Brownhill, O'Dowda, Weimann, Paterson, Diédhiou. Subs: O'Leary, Pisano, Kelly, Eliasson, Palmer, Semenyo, Taylor.

Blackburn: Raya, Mulgrew (C), Bennett, Travis, Armstrong, Reed, Rodwell, Williams, Dack, Smallwood, Graham. Subs: Leutwiler, Brereton, Nuttall, Conway, Bell, Nyambe, Rothwell.
