City unchanged for Middlesbrough clash

Bristol City remain unchanged for their trip to the Riverside this afternoon.

The same starting XI which kicked-off against Birmingham City on Tuesday night will line up against Tony Pulis' Middlesbrough.

That means Lee Johnson's tactical surprise of Joe Bryan at right-back and Bobby Reid out wide - who played well in their new positions in the week - continues.

Only Jamie Paterson is the missing man from last week's 18-man squad. The midfielder has been ruled out of today's game through illness, with Hordur Magnusson replacing him on the bench.

Boro v City kicks off at 3pm.

Bristol City: Fielding, Bryan, Flint, Baker, Kelly, Brownhill, Smith, Pack, Reid, Djuric, Diédhiou. Subs: Steele, Magnusson, Pisano, O'Neil, Eliasson, O'Dowda, Taylor.

Middlesbrough: Randolph, Shotton, Ayala, Gibson, Friend, Clayton, Besic, Howson, Downing, Traoré, Bamford. Subs: Konstantopoulos, Fry, Fabio, Harrison, Baker, Cranie, Assombalonga.

Referee: Andrew Madley.
