City trio revel in weekend accolades

Nahki Wells, Andreas Weimann and Jamie Paterson have earned the plaudits after their work helped City to an impressive 3-1 win over Middlesbrough.

Wells opened the scoring early with a first-time curling effort, before Paterson doubled City's lead with a shot from a tight angle at the Riverside.

Wells confirmed his brace after meeting Weimann's pass - his hat-trick of assists - and slotted the ball past Dejan Stojanović.

Boro's late consolation strike came courtesy of Britt Assombalonga but it was too little, too late for the hosts.

Wells was named as Quest's Championship Player of the Weekend, while all three were included in Whoscored and Infogol's respective Team of the Weekend shortlists.

Well done lads!
