City have been handed a Carabao Cup semi-final two-legged tie against Premier League leaders Manchester City.
After pitting his wits against José Mourinho, Lee Johnson will now go toe-to-toe with Pep Guardiola.
Johnson’s side saw off the Carabao Cup holders on Wednesday night courtesy of Korey Smith’s 93rd-minute winner at Ashton Gate.
It has now set up a mouthwatering two-legged tie with the runaway Premier League leaders, with the first leg to be played at the Etihad in the week commencing January 8th.
Guardiola’s side then visit BS3 two weeks later - in the week commencing January 22nd - as City’s dream cup run leaves them just two games from a Wembley final.
It's City's best run in the competition since reaching the semi-finals in 1988/89.
Chris Vui and Charles Piutau were in action in the opening round of the Pacific Nations Cup, with Tonga beaten by Fiji and Samoa edging out Australia A.
