Members of City’s Under-23 squad will be in attendance at the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta this afternoon.
The development group will be in the Main Arena from 3-5pm, interacting with supporters and engaging in activities led by the club’s official charity Bristol City Community Trust.
Attentions will turn to Pat Lam’s Bristol Rugby on Friday afternoon (3-5pm) when the squad holds an open training session ahead of their pre-season friendly against Bath on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the weekend will see Bristol Sport’s ladies teams take centre stage, as members of Bristol City Women, Bristol Flyers Women and Bristol Rugby Ladies will be present at the Fiesta.
The Balloon Fiesta is Europe’s largest annual meeting of hot air balloons, attracting over 130 balloons from across the globe.
Held at Ashton Court Estate, the event is completely free with the exception of parking, and offers a number of trade stands, fairground rides and entertainment.
"We are delighted to be supporting this week’s Bristol International Balloon Fiesta,” said Bristol Sport’s chief of media Lisa Knights.
“Players and coaches from across the sporting group will be attending each day to help celebrate one of the most recognisable and popular events in the city’s calendar.
“With the festival taking place on Ashton Gate’s doorstep it is great that we can help promote and contribute to such an important community event."
The Balloon Fiesta’s Ian Martin commented: “We are really looking forward to being able to welcome members from Bristol City, Bristol Rugby, Bristol City Women, Bristol Flyers Women and Bristol Rugby Ladies to the Balloon Fiesta.
"With sporting displays and crowd participation planned for each afternoon, I believe the partnership with Bristol Sport will add a very special dimension to this year's Fiesta!”
