City shareholders donate more than £55,000 to Robins Foundation

More than £55,000 from the sale of Bristol City shares has been generously donated to City’s official charity – the Robins Foundation.

As part of club owner Steve Lansdown’s recent offer to buy the remaining three per cent of shares in Bristol City, shareholders have been given the option to donate some or all of the proceeds to the Foundation.

And, to date, £55,517 has been donated to support the award-winning work that the Foundation carries out in the local community.

Chief Executive Officer of the Robins Foundation Dan White, said: “I am incredibly grateful to all of those who have donated proceeds of their sale to the Foundation.

“This money will be used to support the work we do in the local community and will enable us to make a positive impact on even more lives.”

The Robins Foundation currently works in some of the most deprived areas of the city, using football to engage and support young people.

City Chairman and Foundation trustee Jon Lansdown said: “I’m delighted to see that we’ve raised more than fifty thousand pounds through this offer and would personally like to thank everyone who has donated so far for their generosity.

“These donations will have a huge impact on the programmes that the Foundation can deliver and the lives that they can help improve.”

Remaining shareholders have until Friday, November 22nd to respond.

If you are a current shareholder and have not received the formal share offer documents please contact Computershare by telephone on 0370 707 1148.
