City reveal away fans travel partner

Bristol City are delighted to partner with TrainAI, offering supporters the cheapest train tickets on away days.

Inada Consulting Limited are the TrainAl developers, and have been operating for almost six years. They specialise in building Trade Capture and Risk Management systems for financial institutions and have spotted a gap in the market to offer consumers cost effective travel.

The TrainAI app is the most advanced train travel app available in the UK, having received approximately 20k downloads in six months. It’s been accredited by National Rail and is licensed to sell train tickets to commuters.

It searches through all the National Rail fares automatically to work out the cheapest combination of tickets for City supporters, who will save money. Fans can then buy these tickets at a touch of a button.

Bristol Sport Head of Commercial Caroline Herbert said: “Bristol City supporters can look forward to grabbing some real bargains on their train tickets this season.

“We know how expensive it can be to follow a club up and down the country so this partnership really is for the fans, who we hope will continue to travel in their numbers over the coming months.

“It’s really exciting to partner up with an exciting company in TrainAI which is at the forefront of e-ticketing in the travel industry.”

Director of Inada Consulting Limited Olo Sawyerr said: “We are really excited that TrainAI has come onboard as the official Away Fan Travel Partner for Bristol City. The club has a proud history and a very loyal fan base who cheer the Robins on from one victory to the next.

“With the TrainAI app, Bristol City fans are now able get up to 80 per cent off their train fares to away matches. They will also benefit from Travel Now Pay Later – where they can book their train tickets on the TrainAI app, travel to watch matches but pay for their travel 30 days after booking. This means that the fans can attend more games. TrainAI is the only train app that offers Travel Now Pay Later.

“TrainAI will be launching some exciting exclusive offers for Bristol City FC fans to save them even more money on their travel, so look out for those. We are really excited to join the Bristol City family.”

TrainAI is currently available on Android. An iOS version of the app is currently in development and will be launched later this year.

TrainAI - How it works

Let’s say you are making a journey from Station A to Station C and your train stops at Stations A, B and C. It is often cheaper to buy a ticket from Station A to B and also buy another ticket from Station B to C rather than buying one ticket from Station A to C. This is called split ticketing and enables users to save up to 80 per cent on their journeys.

For example an Off-Peak Return ticket from Bristol Temple Meads to Birmingham New Street normally costs £58.70, however by booking with TrainAI the same journey costs £36.90. That’s a 37 per cent saving!

Travel Now Pay Later – How it Works

  • Payment due when booking tickets is £0
  • Tickets sent to you before departure date
  • Direct Debit charged 30 days after purchase
  • No interest or additional fees

TrainAI is available on Android and can be downloaded from the Google Play store - http://bit.ly/trainai-bcfc
