Connor Lemonheigh-Evans scored a brace after Joe Morrell's opener in a 3-1 victory for Wales Under-21s over Switzerland Under-21s.
The match brought to an end the young Dragons' Euro qualification campaign, with Rob Page's side having already failed to qualify.
But they weren't going to let that stop them from putting in a performance of the highest order and Morrell gave Wales the lead not long after the half-hour mark at Rodney Road.
The City midfielder cut in on the left-hand side of the Swiss penalty area, before picking out the bottom corner.
And Page's side were 2-0 up just minutes later, with Lemonheigh-Evans on hand to double their lead in Newport.
Switzerland reduced the score to 2-1 when Andi Zeqiri struck, but Morrell and Lemonheigh-Evans combined late on to make sure of a comfortable scoreline.
Elsewhere, Rory Holden was an unused substitute for Northern Ireland Under-21s as they overcome Slovakia 1-0. Despite finishing second in Group Two behind Spain, Ian Baraclough's side failed to secure a EURO 2019 play-off spot.
Meanwhile, Jay Dasilva helped England Under-21s to a 2-0 win against Scotland Under-21s.
