Fans from across the United States of America put in a fantastic effort to watch their beloved club in action at the IMG Academy.
Supporters poured into the IMG Academy Field stadium on Saturday for the pre-season encounter against Derby County, although local thunder and lightning storms put an early end to the game itself.
The supporters were able to see Famara Diédhiou net the only goal before the match was abandoned. Saikou Janneh then netted in the follow-up match the next morning.
There was plenty of time for the players and management to meet the fans around the stands and speaking after the rearranged match with the Rams, City Head Coach Lee Johnson said: “It’s been interesting meeting and talking to the supporters and seeing those from America in Bristol City shirts.
"They have travelled for hours to drive and see the boys, some have taken flights and merged it with their family holiday. So it’s been nice to see them here and see some recognisable faces too.”
Supporters have also been invited to an open training session which will take place at the IMG Soccer Complex on Monday (July 15th, 9.30am start), ahead of City's final game in Florida against Sarasota Metropolis on Friday (July 19th). Fans should report to the security gate and will be directed to the relevant pitch.
